How Our School Mentoring Program Works
Mentors attend YOUR school for a 2-hour block each week for a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks*.
Schools can select program blocks, with mentors attending consecutively for:
-
A short, focused mentoring block designed to introduce students to the HAD in Schools approach and begin building trust, self-awareness and positive behaviours.
This block provides an early foundation through structured conversations and practical strategies, making it well suited to early intervention or trial engagement.
*This is an introductory offer only for schools new to the HAD in Schools Program.
-
A structured mentoring block that supports students through a clear progression of self-awareness, behaviour and communication.
This block is ideal for schools seeking meaningful engagement and visible growth across a term.
-
Students thriving and benefiting from mentoring? As your 5-week program concludes, extension blocks are available to sustain momentum and deepen impact.
Extensions keep the same mentor working with your students, building on the relationships and progress already established. The foundation from your initial 5-week program becomes the launchpad for:
Further skill reinforcement and practice
Reflection on growth and goal-setting for continued development
Tailored mentoring based on evolving student needs and school priorities
Flexible extension options:
Short-term extensions: Add a few weeks to the current program block
Annual programs: Schedule multiple terms of mentoring for the greatest cost savings and sustained student support

During this time, each mentor runs 4x 30 minute mentoring sessions
