ANNUAL Mentor program

BEST FOR:

  • Students requiring deeper, ongoing relationship-based support

  • Entire cohorts or a large selection of students each who have their own challenges that they are overcoming

  • Cohorts or groups who are juggling with the expectations of being a leader within their school community and/or transitioning into adolescence and teenage years.

  • Addressing complex social-emotional challenges over time

  • Schools prioritising long-term outcomes with sustained impact

  • Embedding mentoring as a core wellbeing strategy within your schools curriculum

process:

  • New schools who would like to start the Annual Program without the introductory offering can do so by simply requesting a quote and selecting ‘Annual Mentor Program’.

  • For schools wanting to extend their current program to an annual offering, our team will discuss this with you or your nominated contact during our mid-program meeting. We will work with your school to ensure our program fits the needs of your students.

  • Discussions around timing and target audience for the Cohort Presentations will be organised in consultation with your schools nominated contact to ensure the presentation fits within your current curriculum and schedule.

As your program nears completion (typically Week 4-5), our team discusses student progress with your wellbeing coordinator or nominated contact. From here, we can organise and provide a quote for an extension option that best suits your students needs, these may include:

  • Short-term extensions: Add a few weeks to the current program block with the same mentor to maintain relationship consistency.

  • Annual programs (see below): Schedule multiple terms of mentoring for the greatest cost savings and sustained student support

extension options:

If students are thriving and would benefit from continued mentoring beyond the initial 5-week program, annual programs are available.

Annual programs come with the added value and benefit of 2x Cohort Presentations on Leadership and Character development from our Director Brad Jenkinson, for students in more ‘senior’ year levels.

Program Capacity & Student Numbers

Understanding Mentor-to-Student Ratios

The number of students we can support in each program block depends on your chosen session format:

  • Small Groups only (1:3 sessions): Up to 12 students maximum

1:1 sessions only: Up to 4 students maximum

Mixed format (combination of 1:1 and small groups): Between 4-12 students depending on the ratio

  • Each 2-hour weekly visit allows for 4 mentoring sessions. The total number of students we can support per mentor depends on how many students participate in each session:

    • Small group sessions (1:3): 4 sessions × 3 students = 12 students per block

    • 1:1 sessions: 4 sessions × 1 student = 4 students per block

    • Mixed format example: 2 small group sessions (6 students) + 2 individual sessions (2 students) = 8 students per block

  • Quality relationships - mentors can build genuine connections with each student
Sufficient session time - every student receives adequate attention and support
Meaningful progress - focused support leads to better outcomes than spreading mentors too thin
Sustainable delivery - mentors maintain energy, presence, and effectiveness throughout the block

NEED TO SUPPORT MORE STUDENTS?

Fantastic! We are keen to provide the support.

To support 12+ students through our mentoring program, Schools can purchase multiple program packages to run:

  • Double Mentoring Blocks - an extended 4-hour block with a single mentor in a single visit to your school OR the same mentor attending your school twice per week.

  • Concurrently (multiple mentors on-site at the same time supporting different student cohorts)

  • Consecutively (same mentor runs a new program block after the first concludes, supporting a new student cohort)
